A good hearted person took her in and turned her over to animal services in the morning. After a week and a half nobody claimed this smart, gorgeous, gentle, Collie. She's on the smaller side at 52lbs although she is a bit underweight. Her healthy weight will only be a few pounds more. We estimate her to be between 7 and 9 years of age. How could anyone dump such a gentle spirit? She appears to be house-trained. Last night we took her into Cottonwood Animal Hospital to get a senior wellness test which is a comprehensive blood panel, plus thyroid, plus urinalysis. We hope to hear the results today. She is spayed. But she needs a dental pretty badly so we'd like to get that done soon. I adore Cara Mia already and she's only been here 2 nights! She's an easy Collie to love. She's excellent with our cat - incredibly gentle and just mildly curious - just enough to want to say hello but not push it.
